With so many of us turning to the electronic world of communications coded in zeros and ones, this is one of the best sports blogs I have seen. It is inviting, interesting, informative, entertaining and fun. I enjoy your comments and especially enjoy your sports casts and sports packages. It is no wonder that KRTV is the number one award winning television station in Montana. Thanks Jake, and keep up the great work.
So, what do you think would happen if we took money out of the game? What if there was a real salary cap, say no more than $50k per year per athlete? Would that put the "game" back into the game? At least, nobody could be accused of using steroids then because nobody could afford them. And, we'd no longer have to wonder how a professional football player can take hit after hit without ever displacing the monsterous diamond stud in his ear. 'Course, we'd have to put some sort of cap on the refs and the bribes they can accept too. Otherwise, the Steelers would win every game.
Maybe I'm being too cynical. I just miss the good old days when an athlete's heart was as good as his/her brawn.
